Only anti-malicious software that finds its way to my computer nowadays is malwarebytes. Windows Defender is also more than enough for an AV.

But yeah, I guess it's safe. I never liked spybot though.

It's safe in that it won't harm your computer. But it will give you a false sense of security, because, honestly, Spybot hasn't been good for like a decade.

If you're running Windows 7, download and install Microsoft Security Essentials. If you're running Windows 8/8.1/10, it already comes with Windows Defender (MSE was rebranded into this). Please note, the Windows Defender that comes with Windows 7 is NOT AN ANTIVIRUS. I have no fucking idea why Microsoft gave MSE the same name of an already existing product that offers far less security. Damn confusing for noobs.

If you want additional security over MSE/Defender, MalwareBytes is a good choice.

If you want paid protection, BitDefender and Kaspersky are also good choices.
