So let's say I plugged my ps4 into the HDMI port on the graphics card then can I plus another HDMI device into the HDMI port of my motherboard ans still be connected to the graphics card since the graphics card is already connected to the motherboard by a PCIE slot. BAsically if the HDMI slot is already used on my graphics card, can I use the HDMI port on my Motherboard rear I/O shield?

Why would you plug your ps4 into your PC? Both of those HDMI ports are video OUT.

But to answer your question, no. Plugging in a GPU disabled your iGPU in your CPU so all your mobo video outs are useless.

you need to plug outputs into the monitor. the hdmi port on your motherboard is for your cpu's onboard graphics.

No. Both of those HDMI ports are outputs. They wouldn't (at least I don't think) know what to do with each other's signals.

 

Your mobo I/O is for the iGPU, whereas you want to use the dGPU's I/O.

Not always. Most chipsets have allowed iGPU while dGPU is active.

what PS4 in to HDMI?  I don't do Sony so I don't have a PS4 dose it have a pass through like the Xbox One?  

 

You don't want to use the on-board graphics once you have added a video card.  Most video cards have multiple out puts just adapt the display port or DVI to HDMI if you need another.  check amazon, or Monoprice.com  they are just a few bucks.
