Got a ps2 port on the system by chance? ;)

Windows 7 has terrible driver support.

It actually does. I will go try and find an adapter or old keyboard. I will come back with the results.

Hello everyone,

Specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Sarkhan_Markov/saved/fKj23C

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

Today I have a strange one. I get to the windows 7 setup screen, (win7SetupScreen.jpg) And none of my input devices do anything.

My input devices work fine in the bios, and the lights on them are still on in the win7 startup screen. (like they are still getting power but no data transfer, maybe?)

I am not getting any error messages.

I put everything together and I believe to have everything plugged in properly.

Do you have any other keyboards/mouses that you could try it with?

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

What port-type are the input devices connected to? If they're USB 3.0, then Windows 7 requires USB 3 drivers to be injected into the installer before they will work.

Both use USB 2.0. I have them directly plugged into the motherboard.

I have used different USB ports

I'm not getting any error messages.

You are a genius. The old ps2 keyboard worked perfectly.

I managed to get win7 installed and downloaded the necessary drivers for everything else.
