The 212 LED has more spread out heatpipes and performs worse because of it.

Hey everyone, just like the title says, anyone knows the difference between the EVO 212 and the LED 212? Thanks for the comments!

Probably, there is still some prejudice over LED stuff as being of less quality, while the clean model has this professional touch to it.

They probably are using old overstock old red LED fans they could not get rid of if they even paid people for it, and the reason it only comes in red aswell xD

The 212 LED just uses the same heatsink from the older 212+. I'm not sure why I'm having trouble finding comparisons between the more popular 212+ and Evo though.

Yea, the only reviews I see give it a "great review" and nothing else.

The aluminium block on the middle has much bigger fins though.

If you care about appearance, know that the heatsink on the 212 Evo looks ugly af.  My case has a pretty small window, and it's so huge that mostly all you can see is the giant ass heatsink.

Inexpensive and widely considered one of the best coolers.  You need to make sure your case is big enough to support it, and that your RAM isn't too high.  My RAM has very large heatsinks, and the cooler is only a couple millimeters above the RAM.

The X only has slightly better fans, but you're paying more for it. The EVO already gives you maximum performance/price for Air Cooling.
