Not sure if I am missing the point of this video, which is why I thought I had to register and leave a comment here.

 

  • I have an i3-2100 (NOT overclocked, I don't believe it can be), at 3.1 GHZ which is a dual core, 4 threads cpu.
  • I have a GTX 960 FTW Edition (NOT overclocked, only factory overclocked at 4gb)
  • And 10 GB of ram


I run games at ultra settings no problems... My rig is at least 6 years old. And it was a budget build, with pieces I replaced here and there along the years. So, not sure if Linus and Luke really thinks that running an i3 is bad for gaming(?) Of course, I am referring to other i3s like mine, and not the one they necessarily mentioned of course.

what they are saying is that is horrible for the price. at 180 at that time you could have gotten an i5 and ran it in a cheaper motherboard for similar performance at a lower cost
