MSI Z270 Tomahawk

All connectors on that board are PWM capable. So you are fine there. By default all SYS_FANs are set as DC connectors, but you can change that in UEFI/BIOS.

Can i use 4-pin water pump fan connector on new Z270 motherboards for normal case/system fan ??? Thanks

if the z270 motherboard your buying has a 4 pin fan connector then yes

Yes is it MSI Z270 Tomahawk it has 4x4pin fan connectors and 1x4pin water pump connector (looks exactly the same as fan connector) but i have 5 fans that's why I'm asking if i can connector my fan to the 4pin water pump connector and have it working normal.

It might not have PWM. Not all 4pin mobo connectors have. Refer to your manual for more info. But if you are planning on using 3pin fan there, sure.

I've just read some article when someone says that this "4-pin water pump fan connector" is just normal PWN Fan conector just renames for marketing so i should be alright pluging normal fan to it and control it.

what else would the fourth pin be for thats the entire reason why its 4 pin and not 3

I've read many mobo manuals my own included which says 4pin header has only 3 pins connected. Which mobo and I can check it for you.

Well, in mine its called VCC. On many MSI boards its just marked N/C aka not connected. Having 4pin headers without PWM is marketing. They have 4pins, one just doesn't do anything.

seeing that it is a pump header, i'm certain it's PWM.  It probably has it's own speed control channel so you'll have to set that pump channel separate from the others probably
