Unless your 6700k is heavily overclocked it's probably not doing much.

How cold is it in your home? Because that's about 60-ish degrees Fahrenheit

That's my kind of house! Personally, my A/C is on 64-68 degrees.

Even then the CPU would be hotter than that because of operating temperature

Yeah but even the best water coolers are still a couple degrees above ambient. And you can never go below.

My house actually is at 66F right now. I can't stand the Florida heat.

I think your motherboard may be reporting temperatures wrong. Or HWMonitor (or whatever it is you're using) is miscalculating.

I know. Coupling that with the temps that the hardware monitor is reporting, it doesn't make any sense. Because physics.

if you put two outboard motors on a boat, one in front of the other, does the boat go faster?

if you have a case fan sitting right next to the cpu cooler it actually makes it perform worse. heres an old article on fan stacking with some interesting comments http://www.overclockers.com/fan-stacking-myth-vs-reality/

based on this, my own experiments with my cooler master z600, and push pull results observed online; i dont see much benefit to cpu coolers with 2 fans
