New Gaming Monitor. What Would You Buy?

TheRoyalDoyle

Hello All,

I am on themarket for a new gaming monitor, I am still using an old garbage ASUS 1080p monitor, that was bottom of the line when 1080P was the best! I have not done any 4K gaming worth it?

My System:

  • Intel 6700K
  • EVGA 1080 FTW
  • 16gb DDR4

Below are a few options that I have come up with. I welcome any input, advice, or experience that you might offer.

1. ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q (I am leaning towards this one, but will I miss 4K?)

2. ASUS MG279Q

3. Acer Predator XB321Hk

4. Asus PG348Q ( I love the wide screen look, but how is this with gaming?)

Thank you in advance for any help!

The lack of UW support and the price is the main reason I think I will stay away from the PG248Q, But it would be nice to have the additional work space

You going to need either two high end cards in SLI (Not recommended) or a gtx 1080 like I have. I did an entire review on 4k gaming here is the link if its helpful

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself
