Thanks everyone. Ok i'll get the i5 7600k. is not worth paying 100 more for a few (IMO) FPS.

i have a i5 6600k at 4.5Ghz and a gtx 1080. apart from ashes of singularity i do not get bottlenecked in any way for the games i play.

i have 5 frames avarage reduced frames whilst playing ashes of singularity compared to a i7 6700k/7700k.

Well for me. i'll use it for running games at 1080p 144hz and 1440p too. but it that really a bottleneck that MUST BE AVOID? or is just a minimal difference like 15fps or something.

i'll probably playing those resolutions since i'm not that rich to afford those monitors. but the price tag of the new 4k 144hz from asus seems tempting. (500$ aprox)

!spoiler alert! that 4k 144hz screen wont be 500$ (not even close)

Sorry for late response. so you get in 1080p around ~130 fps? avg?

Just wanna say that the way "bottleneck" is used here does not indicate you will lagg... they just mean you will gain some additional frames on higher resolutions by using an i7, but the i5 will still give you great frames, specially if you just play 1080p. Then still getting an i7 instead wont double your gaming preformance or anything like that.
