Battlefield 1 on lower than listed specs?

The vids are very most likely real, as the Frostbite engine is fairly optimized. Seeing as you get 60 FPS in GTA V on high, I don't think you'll have any major issues.

I run an i5 2400 with 8gb of ram and 750 ti 2gb as my main pc, I have seen videos on YouTube of people playing the game on my hardware above 30fps (obviously low settings) but I'm asking are these real or fake videos? Im curious to know before I buy it..

I can play gta v at 60FPS on high so that's what spikes my curiosity the most.

You start in the city of Nehalem, a glorious city built upon power and its majestic lakes, so you take a walk on the Sandy Bridge to get to Ivy Bridge, which leads to Has Well, but you realized Has Well was dirty so you went to Broad Well, while at Broad Well you saw Sky Lake, but it wasn't too impressive so you kept going towards Kaby Lake. You then decided that Kaby Lake seemed kind of childish so you went to the big one known as Coffee Lake, but that just wasn't enough. You then head on over to Cannon Lake to see a true wonder of the world, only to realize Ice Lake was what you were looking for the entire time.

Min specs are always slightly higher than whats needed. So you will be fine

i was having trouble before i upgraded my gpu (r9 280 -> rx480) i could barely get constant 30 with huge dips as low as 10-15 fps whenever a tank or something would blow up. that was at 720p low settings.

Now i can run at ultra easy 60fps 2560x1080.

Slightly? There is a big difference between the 2400 and 6600k

I would imagine that is more CPU related.

interesting. I use to have a fx 8320 oc to 4.5ghz and a 270x. The 270x would bottleneck with VRAM in BF4, but when I upgraded the 270x to a r290 I noticed that the CPU quickly became a bottleneck(GPU running at 75% and CPU running 90% in BF4 Ultra 1080p. Then I sold that setup.

I imagine that BF1 is that that insanely more intensive then BF4. So I am very interested in how a rx 480 cured your problems. Was your 280 running cool enough.

no, my r9 280 was a gigabyte wind force with 2 out of 3 fans dying. it never overheated but ran at like 84c 75% of the time and bf1 pegged it at 100% the entire time it was open.while my CPU was at ~30%-40% across 4 cores with low settings.

with ultra CPU goes up to 80-85% usage but temps never go past 82c on anything and rarely get to 82c anymore since I added some 140mm tacticool fans

CPU is even under clocked to 3.01 GHz since ya know, this thing is a volcano hole at stock speeds or higher

Needing a 6600k is bullshit tho, going by the system requirements they are saying a amd fx 6350 is equal to a 6600k (which is a laugh).

Still though I wouldn't expect much BF1 is a pretty hardware intensive title especially with a 750 ti.  But your CPU shouldn't be your limiting factor here.

I was just curious as I am upgrading to Kaby lake and getting a titan xp for my final build, and I'd like to play some new games until then, so looks like I'll give it a try...so, thanks

yea I'd hold out for a bit, if 1080ti is a thing and its like any of the previous XX80 Ti cars you'd be better off getting one of those.
