aftermarket cpu cooler

toooby

I have a micro ATX motherboard (gigabyte h110m-a) and I wanted to upgrade the cpu cooler. I found a hyper 212 evo for 15 dollars but I have been worrying that I might have some clearance issues with my ram (G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series).

Save a bit more and get a Cryorig H7, better looks, quieter, and better cooling. Get it from Amazon or Newegg so if it doesn't fit you can return it.

beQuiet Pure Rock is also a good idea

you shouldn't have a problem with clearance on that board as it seems that the ram slots closer to the cpu socket have been removed instead of the other way around

Looking at a sample picture of it, the RAM is nearly the same length of the CPU itself away from the socket. Also, the size of the cooler shouldn't go much further past the mounting points either. But in saying all this, if you want to be safe than sorry you should either take the risk or look at their returns policy.

The specs say 120 x 80 x 159 mm (4.7 x 3.1 x 6.3 in) on the cooler, so why not just measure it just in case?

There's an edit button btw.

The cooler fits just fine. You can always just mount the fan on the other side in pull.
