It is a good card to pair with that CPU, a good choice.

As for the VRAM amount, it depends, the 4GB variant is usually a little faster but if it's much more expensive then just get the 2GB one.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION
AIO: Corsair H150i Pro RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RM850x White

the 4gb is around $25 more than the 2gb one. is it worth it?

The GTX 1050 is $10 more than the RX 460 2GB and is faster, so the 2GB 460 isn't worth it.

The GTX 1050 Ti is usually about $30 more, so if you can afford to spend $25 more, you might as well get the significantly faster 1050 Ti.

Personally if i had to get a lower end card i would bite the bullent and spend the little bit more to get the 4GB one. Seeing as how its more or less the standard

Depends on the game:

unfortunately, from where i come from. the gtx 1050 is really overpriced. also, i've always been an amd fanboy from the very beginning. haha. so i wanna stick with amd

started from the hd3850 >>> hd 4770 >> hd5850 >> hd7770  >> r7 260x

i'd also like to note that my resolution is 1080p. so is 2gb enough for 1080p gaming?

i don't particular care for maximum graphics. so long as i can get a decent experience as i mainly play overwatch and dota 2

In general, the 1050 is a lot faster than the RX 460 for the same price. The 1050 Ti is faster still, for just a little more.

Save up a little and get the RX 470 instead. Performance is just short of a GTX 970 (it might even be equal to it), and it's better value. It'll cost about $70 more than an RX 460.

I would have gone with RX 470 4GB but hey that will work fine to! :D

I have an rx 460 and honestly wish I had  just stomached that extra cost and got a rx 470. Then again the deciding factor for me was I had a dreaded Chinese no brand "500w" psu so I needed something that only drew power from mobo. My psu blew up (literally) anyway and so I had to buy a new one... So all in all should have bought an rx 470 and a decent ps

RX 460 is extremely weak...at this price point IMHO it's better to look for a used card or some deals or something...to give an idea the RX 460 is about the performance of a GTX 660...a card that can easily be found used for around 50 to 60$

http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-660-vs-AMD-RX-460/2162vs3641

A GTX 950, a card that can be found brand new for less than 100$ will beat it handily
http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-950-vs-AMD-RX-460/3510vs3641

you can go as far back as a GTX 570 and still have something as good as a 460

http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-570-vs-AMD-RX-460/3156vs3641

So, no i wouldn't buy one unless it's like 60$...and people saying to get the 4GB model...this card can't even use 2GB cause you'll be either playing on high 720p or low settings 1080p
