In China and Hong Kong, stealing is highly looked down upon. It's a really big crime for them :(. It's not something someone would do lightly.

Patent infringement isn't looked down upon, and it's more about corporate spying than actual stealing in this case, so it'd be possible!

To be fair, I'd say Razer made a flop with that product and try to have free marketing with this!

TL:DR

I say this isn't a small theft and not a publicly stunt from Razer

if the two items are indeed stolen. this can only mean some rival company which are after Razer's success got away with the prototypes and are prob going to reverse engineer them and make copies if not closely similar products within a few months of so at a cheaper price

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

How can something that isn't a product flop?

Tell that to quite literally every car they copy which their court system allows them to do. Car makers have stopped trying to fight it since every time they take it to Chinese court they lose on the grounds the car has a different name so not coping case dismissed.

Personal stealing is hugely frowned upon, corporate stealing is the norm.

ehmm I'm sorry, but are you on the right topic? this goes about a real, working prototype/idea of concept that razer showed at CES in las vegas, demoed by the LTT channel and many more, this is a serious issue and not some bad attempt for free marketing, since the object that has been stolen isn't even for sale.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

i wouldnt be surprised if a china company made a Razer knockoff of one of their product in a few months time

a laptop with three 1080P screens instead of 4K at half the cost of the three 4K screens

You'd think, at CES, they'd have some sort of monitoring to prevent this...

It was Linus. He stole the 3 monitor laptop from the Razor booth.

Do you have proof?

If not then you're making slanderous comments about Linus.

There are cameras, it can't be unnoticed like that on such show. What about security guards of some sort. Hmmm.

We may not all like Razer as a company, but theft of even a proof of concept is wrong. Until we have some kind of news on who did it, or the hopefully possibility that is was simply misplaced (though highly doubtful at this point), then it's best to not even joke about Linus or Paul or Jason or any other known and good-natured tech reporter stealing it.

Sure, Linus' sense of humor is omnipresent with his reviews and coverage of new tech, but these are serious allegations from Razer. Let's keep our guys (and gals) out of the path of the finger point.
