$400-600 Monitor

I'm trying to decide between and ultra-wide 3440x1440, a 4k 60hz panel or a 2560x1400 100+hz monitor. I'm using the Asus ROG Strix GTX 1070. For 1440p high refresh rate I found the Dell 24 S2417DG for $499 with G-Sync and a 165hz refresh rate. This seems like a good option but I would like to what is available from the 4k and ultra-wide category for $400-600.

Thanks!

Acer and Dell have decent monitors for $250-$600.

If you could, get a Dell U2515H or U2715H. Unless you want something more gaming orientated, then maybe look to Acer.

I'm looking for a gaming monitor but with decent colors because I occasionally do some video work too.

Get a 1440p 144hz. Definitely the best choice for your GPU.

MSI GE72 Apache Pro-242 - (5700HQ : 970M : 16gb RAM : 17.3" : Win10 : 1TB HDD : Razer Anansi : Some mouse) - hooked up to a 34UM58-P (WFHD) in dual screen

That only concern with this monitor is that it is a TN panel.  You mention that you sometimes do video work.  TNs are sometimes not the best with color .  I'm currently looking for a similar monitor.  I want an IPS for good color.

I think in order to save some money I might get that. Color isn't as big of a deal as price.
