What monitor should i get?

Anassagora69

Hello,

i was wondering what was the best monitor(resolution and monitor name, considering price-performance) i should buy with this build:

   CPU:

Cooler:       Deepcool GAMMAXX 400 74.3 CFM CPU Cooler

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Memory: Team Dark 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory

Storage: Crucial MX300 275GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 8GB AMP! Edition Video Card

Case: Phanteks ECLIPSE P400 ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Off Topic: is an SSD necessary for gaming, does it improve in game performance?

i5 6600k will bottleneck your GTX 1080. That's one thing

What resolution do you want? What HZ?

I would get 1440p and 144hz if you want and IPS if possible

Yes for a build like that SSD is nice

SSD impove windows loading time and loading times for all applications and games stored to it...will add 0FPS but a lot of benefits

Monitor that would match your build would be 2560x1440p Gsync 144hz

i would get this one:

it will cut load times, but the big thing it helps is boot, program launches, and general responsiveness when you need your data.

Got it so in theory it doesnt make gaming better, just working?

no it means you bought a 600$+ graphics card and it should be used at rendering AAA games a 2560x1440 resolution or better.

If you have an extremely weak processor, and a very powerful graphics card, the graphics card is the bottle, and the processor is the bottleneck. When you try to pour out liquid, the speed will be limited by the bottleneck.

Not the guy that has to scroll on mobile, ?dad?. Take consideration for those who will come now, tomorrow, and in the future.

No problem. Also your processor is fine, change it to an i7 6700k for peace of mind if you want, but if you don't have the budget for it you're fine.
