Kaby Lake on B150 Motherboard

For my first PC build, I waited for Kaby Lake i5 processor (I haven't bought it, yet). The problem is, I already bought a MSI B150 motherboard.

I already checked and found out that there's a BIOS update for Kaby Lake but I don't know how to run the updated BIOS. Should I run the motherboard with a Skylake processor first, then update the BIOS? Or is there another way that I'm not aware of? Please forgive me for this newbie question.

You need a skylake cpu for the update, do you have a friend you can borrow one from? Or access to one some other way?

So since I have an i5-6600k i COULD bios update and install a 7700 for example?

Yes, but you'd waste money and lose overclocking by doing so.

It was just an example, i would probobly go for the I5 or so, And cool OSC profile video

Can you return that board? If yes, then return it. If not then borrow a cpu from your friend or go to your local pc shop and pay them to update it for you. higher end boards lets you update your bios without the need for a cpu to be installed into the socket.

Thanks for the responses guys but I decided to go with i5 Skylake since benchmarks show very marginal performance to Kaby Lake, especially with the iGPU (which I really expected to be dramatically improved, what a shame) because I wont be using a dedicated graphics card till around December this year. I'd probably upgrade when the 10nm architecture drops.
