$10k Audio Ethernet Cable? AudioQuest CES2017

A friend of mine came across this article and we both had a good laugh regarding the authors commends about this $10,000 (Yup thats Ten Thousand Dollars) Audiophile Ethernet Cable from AudioQuest.

I won't go into a rant about how stupid the companies claims are as the author of this article sums it up far better than I could anyway.

 

After we both stopped laughing I actually started to get angry.  As a network engineer who is intimately familiar with Ethernet and the OSI model I was rather ticked off at the companies claims.  Went to their web site and I see ....

 

AudioQuest CES2017

 

Please o Please o Please if anyone going to CES knows half as much about how Ethernet cables work as I do please confront these guys and get it on camera!

Yes, I have 9 monitors.
