It is unknown whether the manufacturer decided to go with NVIDIA’s 5+1-phase VRM for the GTX 1080, or altered the VRM design somehow, but the card has one 8-pin PCIe power plug as well as two SLI-HB connectors, just like other boards in its class.

Since the GeForce GTX 1080 consumes up to 180 W of power, ZOTAC also had to design a relatively small cooling system for the ZT-P10800H-10P board. The company came up with a cooler that uses an aluminum radiator with at least three thick (and long) copper heatpipes as well as two fans. In addition, the GeForce GTX 1080 Mini card has a backplate, which has positive and sometimes negative effects. The cooling system seems to be a little longer than the one used on the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 Mini, but the whole graphics adapter is barely longer than 17 cm (6.7”) specified by the Mini-ITX spec. In any case, the majority of builds designed for gamers have a few cm of extra space inside and the length is not going to become a problem.

Specs are actually slight higher than the founders 1080 with a core clock of 1620, and a boost of 1759. All other specs are the same.

Gotta say I really want buy it! I want to replace the R9 nano i have in a build with a 6700k with this.

That backplate design is very similar to my XFX 480's design.

wouldn't blower style make more sense cooler wise in a small form factor build or is that debunked already?

Blower style isn't efficient enough to keep the heat down, you'll almost always get higher temperature with a blower style compared to open air style so Zotac probably assumed you've already have good enough airflow. Heck, look at Gigabytes Brix GT :D

Tell ya what, I'll let you read through my original release collection of the X-men: Age of Apocalypse saga and Battle Chasers for that R9 Nano;  And give ya a couple quid for shipping.

Deal?

Which is a poor assumption for a mini itx system actually: cards above 120 watts tdp or so need to be blower on an itx setting.

*Looks at 980ti ACX 2.0 in 250D that is next to me*

Okay

250D is quite big and old vs newer itx enclosures like the rvz02, fractal node 202, etc.

You said ITX, not any of those cases.

Not sure what you mean but itx = mitx which means mostly really tiny enclosures which is a very different trend today vs years ago when the 250D was released.

Considering the only ITX standard is mini ITX, just saying ITX is obvious enough in my book.

Semantics aside the point still remains since many ITX cases are still made of similar size and sold.

Yes I'm well aware. The point was his original comment did not specify any case, only ITX cases in general. There are plenty of different shape and sized ITX cases.

I've always wanted to run an FX 9590 and an R9 Nano in my Elite 110 chassis and see if I could make it spontaneously combust.

Edit: With a Diablotek power supply, of course.

Not really. The manta, define nano and phanteks entho itx are aimed at tiny water cooling. This card looks aimed at tiny cube cases, which is not really a trend today.

That's pretty good , i hope to see a trend starting around this on high end GPU from now on , would be amazing for a simplistic itx PC build

Details separate people.
