New Help Picking Graphics Card, GTX 1060 6Gb

Hello everyone,

I have recently looked upon buying a gtx 1060 6GB,

While doing research I noticed that their are many different manufacturers that make the GTX 1060 6GB,

I was wondering what the differences are if you were to buy a gtx 1060 from lets say ASUS or from EVGA,

In addition, what company or manufacturer is best, should I look simply based on the MHz?????

I would not base it off of MHz because you have to think about the cooling and how loud it is going to be.

Go with the SC version from Evga. I really love it

EVGA has been having quality control problems, I'd avoid them. 

 

So ASUS or MSI, which ever is cheaper.

sadly yes sc coolers are one of the best but the quality issue made me go for another brand.

Okay now what is the difference between buying the 1060 with 3gb or 6gb????

I have dual monitors if that has any relevance

The jump to 6g is worth it, as the 3g has a cut down core. As in CUDA cores were removed so the 3g card will not perform as well as the 6g card, even if memory space isn;t an issue.

 

Or look at the 4g RX 480, and the 4g RX 480 is a full RX 480.

yes the 3gb card is a buffed up 1050 ti not a true 1060 i would recommend going fro a rx 480 8gb

comes free with amd fine wine tech the 1060 comes milk tech one will be spoiled another gets better with time.
