GTX vs Quadro for video editing

Long time i'm want to know what is more better for graphic and editing.

 

Btw if you asking me which gpu i have it's the Asus strix 1060 6gb :)

Unless your doing something that requires tons of vram such as animation then I would go for a GTX since you obviously can't afford a m6000

if youre working with really intensive and large After Effects projects, or doing  serious color grading of large format/codec files that needs a lot of rendering power - a quadro might be usefull to have

 

if youre just splicing gameplay footage and exporting a video then a geforce card is fine

Alright but listen, Dimitri from Hardwarecuncks using the 1080 and he is editing 4k irl videos. so whats the point here? xD

linustechtips also made a video comparing high end quadro VS gtx titan x , and the titan x beated the quadro in all workstation tasks that linus has tested...

Bad test method or true results ??

youtuber vs film-industry professional

 

hes been able to refine his workflow over the years. he's perfectly fine with a gtx 1080 for his scenario

 

also he plays games....something you cant do (well) with a quadro
