Good pc running minecraft poorly

MatskuMan

Hi everyone ! I have been having performance issues in minecraft. my specs are: i5 4210h, 8gb ddr3 and a gtx 960m 2gb gddr5. my fps is around 40-50 fps in ultra but other people with similar specs get alot more. I have also made sure that im not using integrated graphics and i have everything in my computer set at high performance.

You could try allocating more RAM to the game. What do you have render distance set to? A high value will use a lot of resources.

I use 32 as my render distance  and that gets me about 30-50 fps but on 16 i get about 60-70  fps. I have seen people with lower specs than me for example a gtx 850 or even a card like gt 840 get way higher frames than me. I have also tried to allocate more ram and that doesnt really help the performance at all.

That's why. 32 chunk render distance is very demanding.
