New mini PC build. Please help.

Billy9258

Hi all, I am currently building a mini pc for my home.  Here is the list I'm considering https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/v2M4Ps

I will mainly use it as a media center - 2k (and hopefully 4k) video, some light gaming (league of legends or d3).  My budget is around 1000 cad.  Please advise on my build. Any tips are appreciated.  Thanks!!

Replace the mobo with a cheaper H110 or B150, Z170 is complete overkill

Get a i5-6400, 6600 isn't worth it

Use extra money on a GTX 1050!

You should get rid of the z170 motherboard because you will not be overclocking. It will save you quite a fair bit of money and you could also save money by going with a slower speed of ram like 2666mhz or even 2133mhz because 3000mhz is a bit unnecessary.
