AMD Starting to Send out Review Samples of Ryzen?

So I don't have a "news source" for this but rather is based of logic and a tweet from Ian Cutress who writes the CPU and Motherboard reviews for Anandtech, a very reputable tech news and reviews source out there that NEVER publishes any leaks; only official info. This is the tweet:

From this we can tell that this is a review sample of a product that has not been released yet and is a CPU or motherboard. A motherboard most likely wouldn't be important enough to warrant such a tweet, especially a "Launch Day Review." Therefore, it must be a CPU. He also said "redacted," which shows it must be something that can't be disclosed.

 

This leads us with Skylake-E, possibly Xeon Phi, and Ryzen. Kaby Lake reviews have already come out, and Ian has already tweeted something about him with Knight's Landing. Which leaves us with Skylake-E and Ryzen. We haven't heard anything about Skylake-E, and Ryzen is slated for launch within the next 3 months, which leads me to believe it is a Ryzen CPU that he is talking about. 

 

So this means that AMD is already sending out review samples of the Ryzen CPUs. Very interesting... Chances are we'll also see a CES demo of Ryzen (I remember AMD has two slots for events at CES, perfectly fitting Zen and Vega). Do you guys think then that we may get a release within the next one or two months then?

 

Also, mods, if you believe this doesn't fit, then move it to General or CPUs&Motherboards instead.

But what variants? The 7700k and 7600k have already been reviewed.

I wouldn't expect him to put [redacted] if that was the case though, and even so it wouldn't be important enough to warrant a tweet IMO.

Logical to send out review samples by now. So it probably is Ryzen I'd say. CES is close and it will be a very interesting one. Specially AMD presence.

I think it'd be better to ask @Slick, @nicklmg or Colton (forgot his username :c) as they tend to be more active but I don't think they'd be allowed to tell us if they're getting one anyway.

If they can just get them out on time then that would be a hell of an improvement!!! Gone vastly downhill since Anand sold up, but you can hardly blame him with the figures thrown around!!

Hopefully it comes out in the first week of January, and I can see some performance numbers.

Assuming ryzen isnt launched until ces 2017 or later, he should be able to get another one in time for a launch day review. This makes me skeptical it was ryzen, but i suppose it could have been.

 

Oh CES is like a week earlier than I thought, could def be ryzen then

I'm pretty sure they did so with skylake. It's mostly been just the recent GPU reviews that are taking super long which is a different editor. They've had a lot of very on time CPU articles recently (if I recall correctly their article about the info disclosed about Zen and Hor Chips was definitely on time).

I shall edit that in as soon as I have access to a legitimate compooter. Tablets and phones are too hard to do this stuff on
