Is anyone from LMG planning to have a VidCon 2017 meetup? @nicklmg @LinusTech

Probably lnot. They wanted like.. hundreds of dollars from us to attend last year or something, so I told them where to stuff it.

I can afford it, but it's the principle of the thing. I'm not paying to go to a convention where I'm the product.

Luke, regarding the "workshop series" most of us weren't pissed because "everything that we do doesn't matter" or "trying to reinforce our decisions" but because the way you tested different topics was badly researched, done poorly and you didn't account for a lot of factors that would have affected the final result(for what I exactly mean refer to the replies in the corresponding forum topics for each video) .. all of this resulting in your so called "it doesn't matter" conclusions. The workshop series is the worst content I've seen on this channel(been a subscriber for couple years) and actually pretty much the only videos on this channel that I'd consider genuinely bad(everything else is usually top notch).

NO! It's art, it's colonialism and you'll never get it!

  • “The future of our economy, our prosperity and our society — indeed, the future of every citizen — requires us to set ambitious goals, and to get on with connecting all Canadians for the 21st century,”

  • “The CRTC estimates two million Canadian households, or roughly 18 per cent, don't have access to those speeds or data. The CRTC's goal is to reduce that to 10 per cent by 2021”

  • “To achieve that, the CRTC will require providers pay into a fund that's set to grow to $750 million over five years. The companies will be able to dip into that fund to help pay for the infrastructure needed to extend high-speed service to areas where it is not currently available.”

Linus and Luke seem to always suggest "this show is disastrous," but I think how off script the WAN show gets is when it becomes most entertaining.
