G.SKILL Releases New Trident Z RGB Memory Kits

Requiring no additional power connections, this incredible feat of engineering bares pure RGB lighting across an uncovered full-length light bar on the award-winning Trident Z series heatspreader design. By default, the Trident Z RGB will display a rainbow of colors in a wave-style lighting effect, illuminating any system with a myriad of hues. So G.SKILL just announced their new Trident Z RGB series. Included in the article is a YT video.
Seems like the best compared to Zadak551 and Corsair's RGB solution. What do you guys think?

im wondering how they will get the RGB integration with other manufacturers, how would you implement something like that without it getting very clutterred with cables.

Don't listen to the night-themers. They're never happy. Also, woot! Now my RAM will be twice as fast as Hynix's crap HBM2.

No, the latency is more than 2x what DDR3's is. Without low latency, it can't be good for CPU memory.

Controlling RGB LEDs on RAM modules through software? Didn't know that was possible.

They can still go to 4266 MHz, which has me thinking at what timings and possibly temps.

Unless all you do is swap shit in and out of memory you won't even notice a damn thing. I took my ram from DDR3 1066 up to 1866 and even with proper timings I hardly noticed anything between 1333 and 1866 (1066 was a little meh here and there for video editing).

I notice, because I overclock memory to benchmark. I use primocache to use my memory to defer writing on my SSD. I also game at high framerates, and i've proven countless times on this forum that faster memory aids in situations with high CPU overhead. If I refuse to let RGB's impact my performance (even if it's only slightly) it's my choice to do so, is it not?
