AMD Ryzen benchmarks against 7700K and 6900K

They've been leaked, we can finally see how well Ryzen will perform against it's opponents.

The benchmarks are done in Cinebench R15 with Ryzen getting a total score of 1188 beating the 7700K which sits at 966

 

Cinebench R15 results:  

AMD Ryzen - 1188

Core i7-7700K - 966

Core i7-7700K @ 5GHz - 1083

Core i7-6900K - 1500

Core i7-6950X - 1800

but its demolished by the cpu they says its supposed to compete against the i7 6900k

When it cuts off the cpu name in the picture, i find it quite hard to trust.

Agreed. I'd love to see what the actual CPU is in the picture before making judgments.

Who knows what core count or clock speed this is. Could be the base model or the highest end CPU. Or maybe it isn't even zen? Take these results with a large grain of salt.

It could be the 6 core version? My 5820K overclocked at 4.2GHz gets 1225~ while at stock it gets more or less 1000 so...

IF, IF this can be trusted. Then IPC is little better than the FX platform and likely ~20% slower than intel.

well, regardless of AMD "cheating" or "fixing" their benches. this score is 30% lower then their already promised IPC levels would generate at 3.5GHz, thus either the chip in the picture is a old ES, like Dresdenboy claimed it would be, OR, ZEN is so disappointing that AMD would face fraud lawsuits from their investors. You dont guarantee +40% when you cannot even deliver +15%.

DB has claimed no such thing.

 

You can have a 40% gain in one area and a much smaller gain in another. If Intel's fmull went from 2 cycles per instruction to 1, it would be a 100% increase. The amount most people would actually feel because of how instructions tend to be strung together is probably 10% better or less!
