Broken GPU GTX 1060 PCB AND HEATSINK

i have broken one the tracks going to one of the video outputs and now the card is not powering up ......is there a way to fix it.....help guys

It looks like you cracked the PCB which there isn't any easy way to fix(that I know of)

May I ask how you managed to do that? I think you can fix it, but it's not easy to do at all.

actually it is of my friend.....his parents broke his pc by using a steel rod and ripped apart the gpu.....he gave it to me to see if it could be repaired

Although it looks like you only broke one track there are many mores on the multiple layers i dont think you have any chance with this sorry.

You still have to deal with the multiple layers in the board that have been broken.

You're screwed. Either try and return it under warranty (which they probably won't accept) or buy a new one.

 

EDIT: Just saw the picture of the dents and dings on the heatsink and fans. Yeah, there's no way anyone is going to accept that back as warranty. Best start saving for a new card.

The "easiest" thing to get this GPU back to life (and the GPU itself is not broken) would be so salvage a card (1060 with same amount of VRAM) with just a broken GPU and go to a professional store to solder the working gpu to the working card.
Other then that, I don't see much hope for that GPU to work again.

i would have but i don't think there are any professionals in india who could salvage it......anyway thanks man
