I believe it is better than both SP and AF fans (better static pressure and CFM).

Are Corsair ML series fans optimized for static pressure or air flow?

 

Also, if its optimized for static pressure is it better than SP, or if its optimized of air flow, is it better than the AF series?

They're supposed to be used either way. Thereby facilitating fan purchase. You get that one and put it everywhere. Also helps theme matching :-)

The truth is static pressure fans usually just have fine CFM, with exceptions. I wouldn't use MLs as case fans though, it's a waste of money.
