Best 1440p monitor?

I was looking at the dell U2713HM, but I'm not sure if I should get it or not.

 

Before anyone says "Korean blah blah blah", the answer is no.

Best for what? You need to provide more information about the usage scenario and the budget you have to spend before anyone can recommend anything useful.

Case = Bitfenix Prodigy, Motherboard = P8Z77 - I Deluxe, CPU = 3570k @ 4.2GHz, RAM = 2x 8GB G-Skill Ripjaws, GPU = Sapphire 7950 Boost Edition, Storage = 256GB Samsung 840 Pro.

I love my Dell U2713HM, but the 1440p viewsonic(can't remember full name) and the PB278Q are just as good.

Everyday use, gaming, occasional photo editing.

Achieva Shimian, X-Star, Yamakasi Catleap, QNIX, CrossOver? They are all cheaper and still as good as any major brand 1440p monitor.

If you really don't want to look at Korean monitors then stick with the U2713HM, you won't regret it.

I have the asus PB278Q. Picked it over the dell because its cheaper. I got it to replce the 27"iMac I was using. It's much nicer not having a glossy screen.

I will be getting a second later when the price drops a bit.

Dell is an awesome option and I agree on that Korean monitors, just no.

I'd get either the Dell U2713HM-IPS-LED or the ASUS PB278Q. Both are great, pre-calibrated, 1440p IPS panel monitors.
