As well, I'll list you the specs for that pc i mentioned in this post earlier:

CPU: Intel® Pentium 4 672 @3.8GHz (Overclocked to @4.5GHz)
Memory: 8GB DDR2 Komputerbay 1066MHz
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus II Formula
GPU: Geforce ASUS STRIX GTX970 4GB 256BIT
SSD: 250GB SAMSUNG EVO 850

I run a resonable quad q9650 with a 1050ti. Kinda regret it though, but it performs pretty good for its age (aside from gta 5, my pc has texture pop-ins and stutter up the ying yang and ive seen a q6600 with a 1050ti run it better)

Yeah the C2Q Is still a good enough CPU in most cases, the only reason I upgraded GPU last is because I specifically needed more CPU. I threw together some Q6600 GTX 670 builds for my bros (one of which is OC'd to 3ghz) and they run pretty damn well! Though, the CPU is bottlenecking the GPU in a few cases. But in all, it was a great move that really breathed new life into some older computers!

I wonder if CPU prices will drop when Kaby lake and Ryzen launch. If AMD gets the prices down enough, we might see CPUs like the 2500k and 2700k get even cheaper on eBay, which would make budget PC builds REALLY exciting.

i7 2600k @ 5GHz 1.49v - EVGA GTX 1070 ACX 3.0 - 16GB DDR3 2000MHz Corsair Vengence

Asus p8z77-v lk - 480GB Samsung 870 EVO w/ W10 LTSC - 2x1TB HDD storage - 240GB SATA SSD w/ W7 - EVGA 650w 80+G G2

3x 1080p 60hz Viewsonic LCDs, 1 glorious Dell CRT running at anywhere from 60hz to 120hz

Model M w/ Soarer's adapter - Logitch g502 - Audio-Techinca M20X - Cambridge SoundWorks speakers w/ woofer

Fr man, my bday is in june, and im looking into a sandy bridge i5 to buy around then. my pc when i got it off ebay (its an oem dell) came with a duo clocked at 3.0 ghz, but i swapped it for the best quad i could throw in it, a 1050ti, a 600 watt evga psu, and my old sb live 24 bit and wifi card from my old pc. :)

It's not my pc (i wish though) but a 672 is 64 bit, or else it couldn't run windows 10 at all (very few p4 cpus can run windows 10, but the ones that do run it fine) ill put the video that showcases the power of this machine below:

albeit the cpu usage is 100% the whole time, the pc is still bad ass and impressive.

Talk about optimization...

Why is it that this old CPU (Which should very obviously be powerful) can run doom exceptionally, but my i5 has trouble with some modern titles? (Okay maybe Odyssey to the west is just a vomit inducing port but... Still...)

Nevertheless, GHG showed you can still kinda game on a P4. But this was before doom. That demo you showed was really cool. IMO

That I've created? Xeon X5450 w/ GTX 1080. I just stuck my 1080 in my friend's rig to see how it'd work lol.

That I've had to deal with? FX-8350 w/ GTX 780. I played mostly modded Skyrim at the time, and the FX-8350's single threaded performance reared it's ugly head into my frame rate (an inconsistent 20-60).

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

I definitally understood why minecraft was bad, as its so cpu bound. and all the other games run farely well, probably because the gpu pulls most of the weight..? not sure.

Biggest that I did: Sapphire HD 6770 overclocked with a pentium D 820
Biggest I can imagine: dual TitanXP on a 6950X with a square 800x600 monitor

Windows 10 can't even install on a 800 by 600 monitor..

Dell Precison T5400.PNG

Edit: I cant believe it has 2 16x pci-e slots lmao. imagine sli with two of those 960's

It was bad enough with one xD

Yeah, he got rid of it last year and couldnt remember the specifics. He also had to run it with one of the side panels off and a clip through somewhere otherwise it overheated
