What do you think about 8C/16T Ryzen, RX 490 and 16/32GB DDR4?

How can we judge it when we don't know how its gonna perform yet and whats going to match with eachother the best. lol.

If it's an 8-core definitely get 32GB of RAM (trust me, I had a 6-core and 16GB wasn't enough)
If it's 4-core then 16GB is enough
RX 490 is probably going to be decent, although you may be better off with a 1080 ti or something, who knows?

Fully maxed out early 2017 Dell XPS 15, GTX 1050 4GB, 7700HQ, 1TB nvme SSD, 32GB RAM, 4k display. 97Whr battery :x 
Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

 

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

that will PROBABLY be good but ALWAYS wait for benchmarks. ALWAYS.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

The hype because of Ryzen propaganda AMD did in this 13th is real for what we can see hehe, I personally feel regardless of what they are saying in real world performance Skylake will still stay ahead but Ryzen might end up cheaper and a slightly better cost-benefit, but like stated the best thing you can do is wait for benchmarks so there is solid evidence.

 

Also calling others fags isn't a nice thing, Intel and nVidia are great in what they do just as much as AMD, to have the best possible system in hands you should consider both sides of the wall every time after all CPU/GPU makers aren't football teams to cheer for one and condemn the other xD
