because he didn't specify, there are none if any IPS below ~170$ mark, and a TN panel isn't a sin and is fine for most people not doing graphic work. >.> lol

But IPS is a big improvement and barely even more money, so it should be an obvious choice unless you really need that $20. And there are no IPS monitors under $170? So what are these? -

Only one on here I'd consider. Most 23 inch or above IPS monitors are around 170$ without rebate because a rebate should not be factored into original pricing.
