Windows in my new build

So, I'm building a new computer, Starting fresh and not moving anything from my old one on. But will I need to buy another windows key? How can I use my current one if I can?

You can read out your existing key. If you install the same version of windows you should be able to use it again.

It depends

 

Your old computer, did it come with a copy of Windows pre-installed? If so, then no, you cannot reuse it and you will have to buy another Windows key. 

 

If however you purchased Windows as a retail copy then yes you can just reuse the key on your new pc!
