Small Linux and Netflix Machine

namarino

I'm planning on building a small computer for Linux and Netflix. I'm reusing a q8600 that I got from an old computer. It's socked is LGA 775 whuch has on board graphics. My question is should i invest in a super cheap graphics card for HDMI output and more power or should I just stick with the on board graphics and grab a vga to hdmi converter?

If you're not gaming, you'll be fine. Just be aware, the easiest way to get Netflix to work with Linux is Ubuntu and Chrome. If you don't want to use Ubuntu, you can use Wine to run Silverlight (which is needed because of DRM).
