Cooler Master Sickleflows Rattle from Cold boot

BlueChinchillaEatingDorito

This is becoming more prevalent during the winter, but when I boot up my system, I can hear a clear almost like rattling sound coming from one of my intake fans. It'll make this noise for around a minute and then it'll quite back down to normal. I've even applied some all purpose lubricating oil during the summer to the hub and it doesn't seem to have changed anything. Any ideas?

It is because when you are booting they most likely run at 100% speed

Are you sure that it's coming from the fans? Does stopping the fan stop the noise?

If I unplug the suspected fan, it's completely silent on startup.

These are 3-pin fans. They're supposed to be running at their rated speed?

Check to see if there are any cables being hit by the fan blades. You can also run the fan outside of the case to see if the issue is due to the fan itself or due to how it's mounted.

Ok, I'll try that when I'm finished my exams tomorrow! Will report back.
