My New PC Build that i'm planning to buy

Jann1123

Hei guys,

This is my new PC that I have put together, while googling and youtubeing for many-many hours past few days... :)

Just wanted to hear your thought about my build and is it enough for future gaming.

Will game with my BenQ 60hz so 1920x1080, coz don't have extra for 144hz atm.
(from my old pc i'm taking my 1tb7200rpm & 250gb ssd for extra also)

Link to the build:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KXdZ9W

PC i have atm:
i3 550
MSI H55M-E33
gts 450
8gb ddr3
250ssd + 1tb 7200

Get a better quality PSU. And don't spend near $300 for a 480.

Curious why you got white RAM as your theme appears to be red and black.

I'd also get a better PSU. It is the heart of the system, after all.

I looked up Asus RX480 coz it has 3 fans compared to other labels that have 2.
And have read that rx480 has some heat issues on some labels then went with 3 fan Asus.
I'm living in EU so the price for MSI 480 is 315€ +/- and Asus 480 is 325€ +/-

Yea the RAM is white have to look if there are some other brands for the same price and performance but black, ty tho.

asus strix is expensive for no thing and rx 480 is kind of a hot card
but the gtx 1060 very cool and with msi cooling the temp cant go over 68

Yea, RX480 has heat issues i know but have looked many comparisons on both 480 and 1060.
And what i have understood is that 480 is better choice for future gaming then 1060.
(i'm not planning to upgrade my pc after this build for 2 years)

Rx480 was great when it was released for its price to performance ratio. But nvidias 1060 has struck a hole in my inner amd fan boi heart. If you choose the Rx480 get the xfx card. Its by far the best board design giving it great clock speeds and lower temps.

The 480 can be aquired in either 4gb or 8gb, more that the 1060s 3gb. Games are becoming more vram hungry. Also more vram and faster memory will give advantage with higher resolution.  But this particular case the 1060 is choice.

Also the 1060 would be more suited with this evga 500w.

Okei did some numbers and similar builds:

My Original build (with new PSU) 1166.70€ price for me (EU)

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KXdZ9W

deXxterlab97 Build with some changes 1271.10€ price for me (EU)
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cB6JgL

My NEW Modified build 1224€ price for me (EU)

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LThbTH

So my new question is is the gtx1070 worth the extra € in long run compared to rx480.

And is there any big difference between these 2 for example (long run/gaming)
Gigabyte gtx 1070
Price in Estonia (where is live) 481.60€
and
Gigabyte gtx 1070 extreme gaming
Price in Estonia 566.70€

And is the ASRock z170A-XI mobo compared to MSI M5 pointless? Coz 1 costs 127€ and msi 178€ for me.

Cheers guys 4 the help/tips

you can consider the cx550m, seasonic s/m12ii instead if the G2 is too expensive, both are much better than the CX500M.

Okei i'm gonna find the extra 30smth € for better PSU, considering you guys say that proper PSU is a must.
(Seasonic m12ii 97€) so extra 32€ if i go with that

But still have question about my gtx1070 comparison that i stated above and mobo question also.

From my original Build swapping Samsung EVO for ScanDisc (30€ cheaper) is it worth it? or better pay the extra 30€ to get more reliable SSD lable.

No, only very slightly better. just get the cheaper card and overclock it if you really want the performance.
