GTX1060 Laptop Too Hot?

MITSUHA

Hi Guys!

I have just bought an ASUS ROG GL702VM-DB71.

Everything is working fine but I'm just worried about the GPU temperatures. The GTX1060 GPU runs up to 88°C when running at high loads.

I haven't experienced any thermal shutdowns but I'm a bit worried about the temps. Are these temperatures a bit too hot? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

80c or cooler is where you want to be, most cards throttle at 100c I believe.

Try getting a laptop fan with aircons on as your cooling system.

Don't worry. While 88C isn't great, it's pretty common for laptops to run at temperatures like that.

Tried using a cooler but temperatures are still the same.

I'm currently using gsync. Max fps is 75.
