How to remove thermal paste?

So I'm building a PC and since I'm not doing any OC'ing I'm going to stick with the stock cooler. But the color of the stock cooler doesnt match the white/magenta colors of my build, so I was thinking of getting a cryorig C7, but I was also planning to get it for xmas so I can temporarily save money. Is it possible to remove thermal paste from CPU after the stock cooler is already on it?

Isopropyl alcohol with preferably a micro fiber cloth, paper towels and napkins can leave behind crap.

Yeah, dab a paper towel with isopropyl alchohol and just rub the thermal paste off the processor

Yep, get a towel and some rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) and it comes right off.

I used isopropyl alcohol and some cotton swabs. though the cotton swabs might not work out if there's a lot of paste

I always use dry paper towels to remove most of the compound, wipe it again with a dry one and then clean the surface with a paper towel slightly wet with alcohol.

You can just use paper towel (maybe some water) And rub it off.

BUT using 99% isopropyl alkohol and micro fiber cloth is better and wayy quicker

Isopropyl Alcohol. Or Windex (ammonia).

90%+ Isophropyl Alcohol on coffee filter. I think you can use paper towel but watch out for loose fibers. You can use less alcohol % but give it more time to dry.
