Honestly, I am more surprised that the police car didn't know that you should never break when your car slide on ice. They should be trained for this. I get the other vehicles as, "It's easier said than done' when you loose control of your vehicle, and the reflex of breaking kicks in... I think the green wood car (taxi), is the only one that let go its break after he/she realized and remembered what to do under such situation avoiding hitting the other cars.

Still no snow here...

We didn't get any last year so i hope it's different this time.

I just imagine GTA having winter mode, and cars can slide like this... and the above situation happens to you, and the game thinks you are doing it on purpose and gives you 3 star, and the police starts shooting you.

This happens in Iowa all the time after the first snow, its like people have repetitive habit of forgetting how to drive in the snow.  

Also I blame ABS, people don't brake correctly any more. You pump not press and hold sheesh ... That police officer should have known better.

Yup, that's my city alright... The law states that they have up to december 15 to put their winter tires. Some(many) people are fucking idiots and they often wait until the very last day. This is the result of them not putting their winter tires on even when the weather network tells us at least a week early that there will be snow.

And then the moment that they can lawfully remove their winter tires(march 15), they remove them immediately, only to cause more accidents because another snowstorm can still (and often do) happen at that time of the year.

Quite frankly they should change the dates from December 15 to November 25 and March 15 to April 1st or something like that.

Every year they catch a bunch of idiots even after December 15, who still don't have their winter tires.

No such thing as tire chains here, they are actually not allowed in Quebec.(on the highways anyway, which really renders them pointless considering you'd use the highways to get anywhere here.)

Winter tires are generally enough, especially when you consider the fact that we actually remove the snow from our streets when it reach a certain height and put salt and/or gravel and/or some other type of de-icing product on the roads to prevent cars from slipping in the first place.

But in this case, it was still early in the day so they probably didn't have time to do so. Couple that with the angled street, idiots without winter tires, idiots who forget how to drive when it rains/snows, and you have this result.

Yeah this is what I get, you cant put chains here either unless it is on a truck with the right clearance;

Iowa is funny you go from ice and pittance snow in the southern counties to almost 13 ft in the northern counties. We call highway 30 the divider line for when you know you will get heavy snow - ie 5+ ft.

Yup.. beside that Teo Taxi driver. He reacted and was able to move his vehicle away safely, avoiding the accident pile up.

Oh no I did not. This is some guy who did a compilation of a bunch of people video posting on Facebook/YouTube, hence the multiple angles (probably the same people in the office he works in)
