[FINISHED March the 8th, 2015] Redefine R4

Razbit

Can you give me a schematic of the customized parts of the case so i can make a Redefine like that? I really like how spacey it is.

What kind of a schematic do you mean? I can for sure give you some measurements!

Current rig: i7-5820K, R5E, 1070ti (windows), Radeon HD7850 (Mac), a bunch of SSDs and HDDs, running MacOS Mojave, Windows 10 + a bunch of debian servers on Proxmox KVM hypervisor

Laptop: MacBook Pro 13" 2017

Previous projects: Razmac G5, Server, zenbox HTPC

Yea, Measurements and also how easy was it to take off the 5.5" bays? Rivet drilling? And meant for the PSU and hard drive cage cover that's sloped plus the angle it's at. Thanks :D

Alrighty. Thanks! I really like how much space there is in the front. I prefer long cases rather than square cases, idk what it is about it lol. Also, why do you have to take it apart again?

Not really apart, but the side panel needs some work and the front still has to be done, so.. Well, at least I gotta unplug it.. :D

Here is the final update showing any progress, so I think we could say this build is now done. Finally :D

Now, the only thing that was left is done: the front. I made a new front panel from aluminum and installed a vandal switch as a power button. The panel is held in place by screws through the C channels at the edges (grey in the following images), which are glued to the panel.

Thats it guys, thanks for following! My friend Janne promised to take proper pics of this buid now that it is ready, so prepare for actually good photos :D

Thank you,

Razbit

Well, you pay the delivery ;)

And about them plans, I'll send 'em to you as soon as I can, now I'm pretty busy with the school, but I'll get back to it within two weeks, OK? :)

Hmm... I'll see about that once i get the moneys since i don't have any atm. And i need to get the case too just to use it at all.

Yea i can wait a little longer. It'll take prob even longer than that for me to get the case.

Thanks for being a kind person about share your case mod plans. I like long and spacey cases that can really show off the PC.

Phew, finally. DONE

One great project done, new projects waiting. Its been a long journey, and the build was remade quite a few times. My studies and issues in my personal life kept me from the build at times, thus it took way too long..

Final photos, by Janne Aavasalo (japhoto.fi).

Anyway, here we are. At the end of the road. Thank you all who have taken part in this project, especially JokuTyyppi and Janne Aavasalo (aka Darkened from bit-tech forums).  Your support was really needed, thanks to Darkened for the final pictures and some aluminum work and to JokuTyyppi for his workshop, ideas and support in more-or-less personal issues :)
