Darksiders Warmastered Edition runs terribly on AMD cards. (ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED)

I got it for free since I have the original game, but if you want to buy it and you have AMD card, I would wait. On the other hand, it's going for 80% off now I think, so you can probably just buy it now and hope it gets fixed. I think it will get fixed.

 

Update ***

 

A patch has been released and I can confirm it runs fine now. I was getting 75 to 116 fps in the opening part of the game.

It's the FPS. There a huge discussion going on the Steam page. I downloaded the game to test it myself to see if it was just older AMD cards, but it also affects RX 400 cards. I was getting about 27 - 55 fps. It's just confusing because I run the original game at 200+ fps and the new assets don't look like that much of an improvement over the original game.

Have you tried narrowing it down to a specific graphic setting?

Haven't tried yet since I tested it after I got back home late from work yesterday, but I don't think it's down to a particular setting. People have been reporting terrible performance even with everything on low. I'll have more time to play around with it tomorrow, but I don't think it will come down to a particular setting.

Well I got the remastered edition myself. I can't investigate AMD specific issues as I don't own my AMD rig anymore, but I wonder if there's some bad optimization somewhere that'll also show up somewhere on Nvidia cards.

From what I've seen, Nvidia cards are running it flawlessly. The issues so far are strictly with AMD. You should be fine.

Right. What I'm saying is though is that I wonder if there's still some bad optimization somewhere that'll still be apparent based on how the game looks and how resource heavy it is even on Nvidia cards, even though the game is running fine.

 

Dishonored 2 comes to mind as the game's performance doesn't really align with how it looks.

Constant 95Fps 1440p maxed out. Less than i thought, but runs without problems.
