Is FINAL FANTASY XV worth it?

Longshot

So I'm not sure if I should get it or not. I'm joining the military on 14.12.2016 and won't have a lot of time to play stuff from then onwards, should I pick it up?

I would consider FF XV worth buying only if ends up being released to PC which is still a possibility... The story behind the game is very very great regardless, Whoever that watched the Kingslaive movie it is impossible not to say it totally spiked out interest over the game.

If you're anticipating you won't have a lot of time to play it, then I'd say hold off on getting it. Final Fantasy is one of those series you can't really put down in the middle of it and come back to it a few weeks later.

It goes like this, I'm joining the army then I won't have barely any time until March where I have around a month off because of a holiday. That's the longest time off I'll get in a year. Besides that my time in the military is for 3 years and each year is like that. So I can either buy it now and play it till the 14th then play it in the little free time I'll have, or buy it in March and play it during the holiday or wait 3 years then play it. What option do you believe is best? (Or what would you do I'm my situation?)

I would wait until March at the very least. If I were to be joining the military soon, I'd rather make sure I'm prepared and all that.
