It could be that.

That's been around since at least Win XP if not earlier... and yes I suspect settings there could be messed up but, they wouldn't change the font's actual shape that severely :S

No idea. Some Windows settings are uploaded to the cloud for syncing and could be something to look into if it's occurring on more than one device with his account.

My Macbook Pro (while running Windows) doesn't have this problem though and it's signed in to an MS account.

It does it on MS Edge too so I don't think that's the problem.

Idk if it'll do anything, but perhaps you could try logging out of your LTT account and seeing if the font is different compared to being logged in or not

Reinstalling what? Windows? I wouldn't do that just because of a weird looking font. (mostly because it'd take days to re download everything with my 2mbps internet)

 

And clearing saved data in Chrome probably wouldn't do much considering that Edge has this problem as well.

This has happened to me before and it fixed itself.

It was either GPU drivers or windows updates.

I tried adjusting clear type text but that did not fix it for me.
