Unigine Valley Benchmark Scores Thread + SUPERPOSITION ***Over 1000 Submissions!***

I'm in the boat right now of deciding between 980's and 780ti KPE.

its a tough call, though I would like to think that the 980 generally beats the 780ti overall in games.

The only reason you would not want to get 780Ti would be lower VRAM I suppose.

If you get lucky with 780Ti too(just like you did with your godlike 770s), I'm pretty sure you can reach the top spot in single and dual GPU chart(seen Kingpin reaching 1500Mhz without a sweat). I heard that a good 980 Classified can reach 1750Core but compared to 780Ti, that would cost you a lot more.

Yeah plus I'm mostly upgrading my video cards for GTA V since I'm already hitting the VRAM wall in GTA IV at 1080p with just the ENB preset I use.

CPU: I7 3770K
GPU: 2x MSI 7970 Lightning BE, 1205 Core, 1600Mem
Average FPS: 102.9
Score
: 4305

Note: GPU-Z shows 1250 core, but that was my start and I forgot to refresh :( run this one at 1205, max core I get without artifacts)

YFQ52C6.jpg

This was done according to the AMD optimization in the OP and 1x1 optimization for CF. Going bone stock I get 89-90FPS.

Going to tweak some more tomorrow need to find the exact limits, but for that I need to open up the windows and deploy the fans.

Still safe to say this blows my single R9 290x lightning out of the water and I only paid 260 euros for the set which I have to say was a bargain, but hey the guy accepted the offer.

Will give that a shot in a bit first have to handle some other stuff :)

I am still a bit stunned by that score though.

However comparing my clocks to yours I would dare to say that it should not be to hard to beat yours :)

That is a crazy score. before I fried my 7950, I could maybe muster 2100-2200 score out of it in valley. the scaling of 2 7970's is remarkable.  :)

yep, but found out it wasnt entirely stable so i backed off to 4.9. but it may have just been that i was starting to hit the ceiling of my psu so i may try again later tonight. and disregard that benchmark too, hoped up dual psu's and got a higher score :)

is this bad, normal or good ?

gdfgdhdh5645.png

the R9 280 is a generation newer than the rest of your system (pci-e 1.0, DDR2, first gen quad core), so the score is a little on the low side if the GPU is running at or near stock. if you have the GPU overclocked, than it's really being held back.

that is about the score i would expect from a 270X. you also need a gpuz screenshot of the speeds it was running at please.

not that valley cares much but that CPU is terrible... It will be hurting your in game performance HEAPS.

Even my gtx770 was severely bottlenecked by my q8400 @3.2ghz. I got almost +50% fps going to an i5-750 and some more going to an i5-4690.

mobo and cpu time (and probably ram) for you good sir
