Unigine Valley Benchmark Scores Thread + SUPERPOSITION ***Over 1000 Submissions!***

Jumper118

Yeah give them a shot for a higher score, also make sure you have the screws for your GPU really tightened down good to get real good contact with the core, I had to do it for the 6950 I have.

I will be doing this tomorow with my Lightning....looking to get the top spot for 290X's :)

The tweaks are pretty much necessary if you want to have a chance in valley benchmark outside of this forum... i.e. http://www.overclock.net/t/1360884/official-top-30-unigine-valley-benchmark-1-0#  there are some beast scores there

Yeah, I'm having thermal issues. I hit 95C doing Valley with the core at 920MHz (over the stock 900MHz), and the air coming out the side of the card is not that warm.

Speaking of which, here is my result.

Intel Pentium G3258 @ 4.2GHz (1.100v)

XFX Double Dissipation Radeon HD 7950 (920/1250)

37.6

1572

1080p Extreme HD preset

gallery_37587_679_11007.png

I set up a new account (named Benchmarking, it has this photo for it), and it's running in the classic theme, with all of the eye candy off, and minimal services running.

Yeah sounds like there is not enough contact between the GPU core and the Heatsink contact point, just tighten the screws or add rubber washers when your installing the screws will make it have a much tighter contact.

If I get a Hyper 212 EVO for Christmas, I'll replace the crappy thermal paste I used (it was worse before) and I'll do that.

It never goes above 70c, fans on default profile. Thinking maybe putting next to an open window tommorow morning, suppose to be around 35f :)

Damn nice, yeah keep it as cool as you can, more so the VRMS because they got stupid hot so quick, should give you that extra 50-60mhz sometimes.

LOL Thanks!  What is scaring me now is that I plan to use the Step Up Program from EVGA to the 980's.  I just hope they perform just as well or better.

I would wait for the 980 Ti if it ever comes out but my step up program with EVGA is about to expire tomorrow so I bit the bullet.

BTW, Kingcry, you are going to hate me.  I just overclocked my CPU to 4.8 GHz and improved my score again.  LOL  Sorry, last one for right now until I beat the person above me.

It's fine Jumper updates the database not me, I just like looking at the scores and it gives me a target area to beat or get near.

I have always had 1 gpu but this time during this build, I decided to try an SLI setup.  Only 2 games that I have had problems with SLI is WoW and Archeage; however, all has been fixed with the latest patches.  Everything else ran fine and I am glad I ignored all those people saying SLI is more trouble than its worth.

I've never had an issue with AMD single GPU and Quad-Fire when I had my 7970GHz, Same with Nvidia for Signle GPU, Dual-GPU single card, SLI, and Quad SLI,
