2x xfx 7970 @ 1050/1450

Score of 3,387

gallery_6624_1762_174395.jpg

Got my 7970s up to 1050/1500 and the score up to 3,426

Gonna try to push the core clock a bit and see where i can go with it

EDIT: ooooh, new drivers that arn't even beta. We'll see how these do.

gallery_6624_1762_281118.jpg

Pushed the memory as high as i can get it stable so we're at 1050/1575 and ended with a score of 3,537

Vally seems to love dat mem speed.

Attempt 4 [FINAL]

gallery_6624_1762_61470.jpg

So 1075/1650 is as high as i can seem to get these poor ol girls, with a score of 3602 . No idea how Ninjashushi managed a to get 800 more points out of a pair of 7970s but if anyone knows hit me cause thats insane. Beating out SLI'd 980s with a pair of 7970s seems odd.

I guess i made a poor assumption when i say my cpu at ~70 percent usage that my bottleneck was almost purely gpu. I'll have to OC the piss out of the cpu i guess and see where that gets me.

i'm gonna be taking out my 970 and putting a 7970 in here to test. New case/OS might improve temps/stability. Last time i tested it my SSD had like no room at all and i had some weird windows crashes. Rip will edit as i'm doing it.

Would you look at that. put my cpu from 3.9 to 4.2 and scored a 3695. Still a nowhere near 4400 but we'll see how far we can get this. Every .1mhz seems to be ~30ish points

I have an ancient Dell Latitude around with a GeForce FX Go 5200. I'll see if I can fire that thing up and run a benchmark just for the lulz.

Update: I have to find the charger first. I figured it was stored away with the comp.  :(  If I get time this weekend I'll look for it. Hopefully I'll be able to get something from it.

I also found an older model with windows 2000 on it. Didn't really inspect it all that much but I'll see if there's an Nvidia GPU in that thing and fire that one up too.
