Unigine Valley Benchmark Scores Thread + SUPERPOSITION ***Over 1000 Submissions!***

Jumper118

I've got the window open so my room can cool down. It's around 10C at the minute so hopefully coupled with the giant-ass fan I now own, I'll be able to push the memory a little further and maybe the core if I can keep that cool enough too.

really? its 12c outside here! my room is at 14c

Well it's not winter anymore. :( all I had to do for benching then was remove my side panel, open my window and turn on a fan and instant 10F+ temp drop in my room... :/ Then I think Wednesday it was 90F...

I wana see some 3dmark from that card.

PEWDIEPIE DONT CROSS THAT BRIDGE

Supposed to drop off at 7c tonight where I am, but that'll be too late to run the fan but I'll be trying anyway. No idea what the room is like, planning on benching in my sister's old room so that window is open now, means I can stay toasty warm until it's ready

LTT's fastest Valley 970, slowest Valley Basic and Extreme HD scores

Testing my "new" LAN rig. It owes me $110 AUD and will owe me $300 AUD once complete (ITX mobo otw and case awaiting mobo)

CPU: I5-2400 (stock)

RAM: 8gb ddr3

GPU: Zotec GTX480 1.5gb (with giant cooler), clocked at 830 core, 2075 mem

Here is a shot of it, this isn't even its final form.

I was mistken, my card is an Asus (mobo is Zotac...) - the 480 is the best bang for buck I could find, a 670 would have been better but they are almost twice the price - sure its hot and loud but I can play gta5 in 1080 with settings on mostly high and still get 60fps

I like what you did with the VRM cooler, is that the stock heatsink cut in half? I used the heatsinks provided in the kit to cool the VRMs as I wanted to be able to revert to stock later.

The cooler is huge, I bought it to cool my r9 290 but I sold it before the cooler arrived. Im running it at about 7v and its keeping the card below 80 deg at whisper quiet noise. My only gripe is that the stock card fan controller cannot control the fans :-(

The previous owner told me it ran really loud and hot (it hit 100% fan in 30 seconds) - take a look

I'm having some difficulty seeing as why it would hit 100C.

slight bit of dust :o. i bought mine with this cooler on so i'm not sure. it does look like they have cut the stock heatsink in half, but they painted the end black :) i did have a stock one as well and that was very hot and loud :P this one runs at 65-70c with the fans on 12v

Yeah I reckon they did haha - the stock heatsink is fairly neat, its a solid hunk of metal that runs the entire length of the card, nice and rigid.  I clocked it to 850mhz core with fans @ 12v and it the same as yours, not over 70 deg. it was audible though...

Hopefully I can fit it in my Bitphenix ProdigyM case with this 850w psu... I will be wrekt if it doesn't fit... That case has two 120mm's blowing right onto the card so I might be able to clock it higher @ 7v fan.

I'm having some difficulty seeing as why it would hit 100C.

I dunno? I mean there is clerly at least two fins showing - I cant see how this caused a problem... whats the flash point of dust again?

Two fins will be fine for a 250W card i think.

Lets see. I don't have any money and I need to talk to asus to get it rma'd... Seeing my internet is too bad right now to talk to someone... I plan on rmaing the card, getting it back, use it for a week or so, sell it, sell my PS Vita, sell my old Asus H97M-PLUS board, and use the money I get for my birthday for something...

Cold enough for some benching, and sadly I can't use my new fan for the GPU since the case gets in the way, might have to sort out an open bench with what I have. CPU holding my score back in Basic as always, but I can't get it at 4.6 with a reasonable voltage for stock before I BSOD.

Still, points are points and apparently I hit 1306MHz boost and didn't crash, so hooray for that. I do love these Hynix chips, though. If I could keep the core under 45-50c they'd hit +800 no problem
