Unigine Valley Benchmark Scores Thread + SUPERPOSITION ***Over 1000 Submissions!***

Jumper118

I'm loving my GTX 1070. In games at least it performs far better compared to my 970 than in Valley, while using less power as well:

  • Stock i7 4790K
  • Stock Inno3D GTX 1070 x2 (stock/reference clocks), 1822MHz sustained boost
  • FPS: 86.8
  • Score: 3632

SS From Valley itself:

And what my 970 a while ago (I think I already had it entered?), and couldn't do again with how poorly it overclocks now:  65.3 FPS & 2732 score

Hey Everyone,

Figured I'd download and run this just for fun.  I have an old system that I built 6 years ago if you can tell by the Config, however I was able to run 1080p at Medium Settings but at 720 low it maintained much higher average FPS which is what I expected.  I am ready to try and see what I can get later this year when I do a PC Upgrade.

-snip-

You should totally run the Extreme preset just for kicks :D

How did I do? I kinda feel like it's not that good.

Seems ok, could be better though. The 1080p Extreme preset on superposition is a better comparison too since we have more results for it (its also the most difficult)

I'm not sure how good this for a 1060 6GB, but by god did the memory really make up for the GPU not being able to hit 2ghz (mem running at 9720mhz effective). Let me know what you think.

Need to include a screenshot of GPUz so I can add you to the scoreboard. It's OK for a 1060, could prolly be pushed further.

I updated the boards too...

Pretty decent, not the fastest we've had though. Also, you should add a screenshot of GPUz so I can add you to the boards.

This is harder then I thought. My card stays really cool, too. What about 1080s, does it beat most of those?

Ya you beat all the 1080s we've had. To be fair, the fastest Vega on our board was a really solid OC so it'll be hard to beat.

Is making the board a good thing, or does everyone get put up there?

@Masada02

This time in Superpositon, with my 4790K at 4.5GHz as this motherboard is slower than my old one (even with that board using single channel 1866). Its pointless overclocking my GTX 1070 as it only has the single 8 pin, and was hitting its power limit frequently:

  • Stock i7 4790K
  • Stock Inno3D GTX 1070 x2 (stock/reference clocks), 1784MHz sustained boost
  • Min FPS=20.54
  • Avg FPS=25.23
  • Max FPS=29.03
  • Score: 3373

Added. I bet you could get more out of that 1070 too. At the very least a decent bit out of the memory since it won't add much to the power draw. Could prolly do like +500 at least. I bet you could get 100-200mhz out of the core too, theres still a little bit of power target left :D

I'll have a crack at overclocking it, but I don't know how well that'll go, considering how much slower everything is on this board (can't use the Z97 Sabertooth due to how unstable its become).

Just to see how bad the GTX 760 does with a i5-3350p Processor here are the Screenshots.

Ran 3 Tests:

1080-Extreme (Avg FPS: 8.36)

1080-Medium (Avg FPS: 37.81)

720-Medium (Avg FPS: 68.05)

@Masada02

Did the OC you recommended (and increased power limit to 112%)...yeah definitely had a lot more performance untapped. Still, at stock clocks it should have scored higher looking at other cards.

  • 4.5GHz i7 4790K
  • Inno3D GTX 1070 x2 (200 core, 500 memory), 1974MHz sustained boost
  • Min FPS=23.16
  • Avg FPS=28.26
  • Max FPS=32.58
  • Score: 3778

Yup, that's not gonna be easy to beat. This is the best I could get. Does a faster processor help in these situations?

Got some new stuff...

Couldn't fit anything larger than the FE 2080 Ti in my little ITX case so I don't think I'll be breaking 10k. Will still try later on though.

It stabilized at like 1950mhz during the run.

I mean, it has to care a little bit but I haven't seen much of a difference between CPUs. Like, just before I ran that last score I posted, I ran it with my CPU at 3.8ghz and it was still in the 9500's. Might also depend on what you deem noticeable.

And you are right - i overclocked CPU in my system to the edge and haven't seen the noticeable improvement in this benchmark. In my experience the most impact i've got was from overclocking the GPU memory, then from overclocking GPU core frequency. This test uses a ton of materials/textures and a lot of light sources to put stress exactly where it supposed to be - on the GPU, and benchmark preloads all the assets into the GPU beforehand.

Main System: 2 x Intel Xeon Platinum 8268, 384GB DDR4 2933 ECC, 2 x NVidia 2080 Ti FE, 2 x Samsung Enterprise 3.2TB NVME PCIe Gen.3x8 SSD, custom water cooling.

Tried manual OC on the CPU but only felt comfortable going to 4.2ghz on my air cooler and PBO usually gets around that on average.  I'd like to try piping cooled air into it somehow but maybe another day as I'm pretty happy with the results.
