Increased my CPU to 4.8gz (1.35v) and decided to run Valley to see how much it helped, and I ended up beating my max GPU overclock score with my standard overclock of +150 core and +500 memory using no voltage tweeks for the GPU (just prefer Maximum Power in the NV Control Panel).

Need GPU-Z. Just ditch the rest of that AIDA and monitoring. Not necessary here.

Oh..duh..on my part.  Need my morning coffee lol...I have a GPU-Z screenshot of +150 and +500 on page 270.  Here it is again though.  I was just excited about that 4.8ghz OC at just 1.35 volts and it slipped my mind.

Intel core i5 6600k @ 4.6 ghz @1.450

Asus GTX 1080 Founders edition

AVG FPS @ 124.4

Score @ 5206

The entire pc is aircooled, stock cpu fan as well..The only modification i have done is to the GPU  all i have done is simply disconnect the fan from the gpu board made a simple adapter from an led extension cable and plugged the gpu fan onto the mobo's  2nd cpu fan header. (control fan speed in bios)my reason for doing so is because i have noticed that Nvidia have restricted the fans RPM to a maximum of 4200+-20 rpm but the fan itself can do a whole lot more!(at the risk of sounding like a hoover) and its the only way i could do it without modding the bios. so rpm now sits at 5500+-20rpm  so im not really gaining in terms of+core and +mem clock on OC ,but rather i can sustain much higher core speeds and for much longer periods of time coz now gpu boost due too cooler and more voltage allowed to the gpu...

If that i7 only needs 1.25v for 4ghz then you should try for 4.4ghz! That is a really good cpu.

Its funny you say that I have just been doing some config in the BIOS and got a stable 4.2 at 1.28vcore. Gotta love that silicon lottery haha. Im only running a Deep Cool Gammaxx 300 cpu cooler and it idles at around 40c and max load is no more than 80c on prime95. I am wondering if upgrading to a Xeon would even be worth it. Maybe for the hexacore functionality tho :D

I didn't even notice that. I really should benchmark the r9 fury, but I'm still tossing up whether or not I'll watercooling it or buy another one and water cool both.

I've updated the scoreboards. If you don't see yours up there it's most likely because GPUz wasn't included with your submission.

I want to buy one when they come out, but I'm probably gonna ride this 5960X for a while.

It really is too damn good of a chip to get rid of.  Only fools sell their 5960x chips.  :D  Yes @Jumper118, I'm talking to you.

@Masada02 I went back to running a 4 core for daily use, but I moved the x99 over to another case and plan to keep it until Skylake-X hits the street.  I just wanted that snappy feeling back, hence the 4 core.

What clockspeed is it running at? SL has 5.2ghz capable chips that run at normal voltages.
