I'm liking those frequencies. Also, are you using the driver tweaks when you do the runs? Or are you running unmodified driver settings? If you haven't modified the driver settings, go to the first post in this thread and change your settings for Valley.exe accordingly. I've found that forcing "Optimize 1x1" in the Crossfire mode yields better Crossfire results as well.

I will check it out. The card did run at 1400Mhz through the Heaven benchmark I will have to try it again, its only 10mhz c'mon!

One card is at 1390Mhz and the other is at 1360Mhz. Both cards are running 2250Mhz memory. Redoing 4k now.
Edit: 4k didn't improve, seems to be held at 30fps... vs the 32.x I got earlier. Am I able to keep my best scores?

Funny story, these 2 480's play Fallout 4 better than my 3 Fury's at the same settings. Looks like AMD got their Tessellation under control...

To think also, tomorrow we get new drivers for these things and we won't need to tax the PCIe slot for power.

Your CPU speed is what is holding you back at 1080p. Set your power state to maximum performance and OC it farther than your everyday setup if you haven't already.

You should see a sizable immediate increase with the power states and just as potentially even more if with an OC.

are you sure that CPU is holding him back?

My locked i7 4790 is at under 20% usage when running valley with GTX 1070.

So I imagine that with 2x GTX 1080, I would still run CPU at under 100%.

Or does valley prefer better single core performance maybe?

Not sure that's why I'm asking, but when you said that his 6 core i7 CPU is holding him back, I got confused xD

It's all single core performance. Valley doesn't use more than one thread at a time. The higher the clock speed the more performance you will get at 1080p, and to a lesser extent at 1440p.

Maybe that could be the reason why some guy got 10fps more at 1080p than me with same GPU.

Didn't think about that lol

Guess I need to buy i7 4790k chip in near future to test it.

Thanks for info mate :)

Yup cuz on one scene in Valley my GPU usage drops and my CPU becomes the bottleneck, even at 5.1GHz :(

Did you won the silicon lottery or something?

I can't even get more than 4000 score for 1080p lol

Around 97fps was maximum that I got even when I oced it to 2100MHz on core.

Have you done the normal driver tweaks in the Nvidia control panel?

Hopefully I can squeeze some more out of this on my Windows 7 install.
